Brian really seems to dislike blow up displays. If you know him, you know he's not that opinionated. But this is one thing he has pretty much spoken out against and will never be seen on our lawn. So, I had to think of something different. How's this one for a fun holiday scene?! It took me a couple of weeks to finish, and I'm hoping it will last a few years - which will make holiday decorating easy.
For those of you in SD, we are having our 4th annual neighborhood "open house" this Friday night starting at 6:30 pm. That means you can walk, or drive, down the street and examine all the displays, chat with friendly folk, and enjoy treats that are provided by the neighborhood. Hot chocolate, cookies, candy canes, etc. One house even provides treats for your dog. It's great fun!

Your street is definitely a must see!!! I love your display!
That is adorable. Did you paint those?
I love Frosty warming his booty.
Yup, I painted and Brian cut them out. He's awesome!
Oh my gosh! I love it! lol!
Oh, we will SO miss your street this year!
You are so creatively talented, funny about Brian not liking blow ups. Once this rain stops we are going to have to come check it all out!
Oh the blow ups. Three years ago I sent Justin out to buy a new staple gun and he come home with a 7 foot blow up snowman, to which I asked, "Are we those kind of people?" I guess we now are. I bought Justin a huge blow up turkey for his birthday. Tacky, but the kids love it. Your cut outs are much cuter and original. I love your neighborhood...it's a Christmas tradition!
those turned out so cute! you are seriously a creative genius
I want a set of those displays. Will Brian cut them out for me and you paint them? I can come pick them up in March? How about it? They were sooo cute. Very creative. I love them. Merry Christmas!
I love your snowmen. You did a great job on them. Your Christmas street party sounds like it is a lot of fun. Merry Christmas! Jim is doing great and we are staying home this Christmas. Love you.
You so need to live closer to me. You are too talented for me not to steal ideas from. I'll talk to Brian for ya ;)
Those snowmen are so cute!
We were driving by your neighborhood the other day and my kids insisted we go by your house to check out the snowmen in person. Too cute!
Your neighborhood was awesome. We always drive through it every year during the holidays.
Wow! You are amazing! We just hang lights and hope for the best.
