I am a sucker for field trips. I love all the places that teachers find to take the kids and teach their lessons. Today, Aubrey's class went to the "Rancho Buena Vista Adobe" house. It was so much fun to see how the old ranchos worked and to see the old period pieces they've found to restore the place. Here are some of the highlights from the trip:

That is one of my favorite field trips! I first went with my older boys about 7 years ago and then I took our Girl Scout Troop last fall.
That fridge looks a little like Eva from WallE...
Ha! No wonder I thought it was so cute! :)
The best field trip I ever went on with my kids was Phantom of the Opera down town. It was totally cool.
Did they ask your girl to be a permanent part of the exhibit?
thats so fun - i bet Aubrey has never been happier that she was learning to play :)
This is a fun field trip. I've been on it before, and will be going again soon!
There is an old square piano, a Steinway I think, backstage at the Poway Performing Arts Center. It's a piece of junk now but I think someone needs to buy it and restore it because it could look so cool!
Aubrey, I'm sure you sounded great. Most square pianos are well over 100 years old. What a fantastic opportunity to play one. They say that the strength length on those are equal to that of 7ish foot grand piano.
