House For Sale

We have been so crazy busy! I have missed PTA obligations, missed working in the classroom and even forgot about teacher appreciation week. Too much going on.

For those who don't know, Brian and I thought it might be a good time to find a new house with more land. I thought we were just looking to find a neighborhood we liked and then watch that area for a couple of years until the right house came on the market. Good plan, right?!

You guessed it. Within just a few weeks we found a house (thanks, Diane) that we totally love. So, as of Monday our house is up for sale. If you know anyone looking for a 4 bedroom, 3 bath house ... just let me know. :)

If we sell it quick enough, the house is ours. I'm so hoping someone thinks our house is as cool as we think it is. I love my house. The kitchen is AWESOME! In fact, though I love the new house, the kitchen is a definite down grade.

Between now and Monday, we'll finish the bathroom, fix the fence, paint touch up's, pack extras, have the carpets cleaned, and a billion other things. I'm tired just thinking about it.

You do have an amazing kitchen! I'll be on the lookout for a buyer. Apparently, I'm good at it. I hope it all works out. How cool would that be?!?

Your house is in the perfect neighborhood, too. That should be a great selling point!

Where's the new house? Close?

Jessica & Tawnya, the house is only about 2 miles up the road, by Target and Pomerado. It's in Rancho Arbolitos. The backyard overlooks Pomerado behind those soccer fields. It's in the Twin Peaks ward. A ward change scares me a bit, but I've lived through it before, right?!

Wow!!! That's exciting and stressful all rolled into one! I hope your house will sell quickly so you can secure the one you love (albeit a downgraded kitchen=]) Good, good luck!

I've been banned when it comes to, "just looking." Will says I never look. I always come home with something. Either way, I hope it all works out for the best.

I can't believe you are doing it! You will miss the kitchen, but the yard will make up for that! Yours will be the party house for kids and adults of all ages, just what you wanted!

I'm passing along some house-selling tips someone gave me when we were selling our house. It sold in 6 days, in an area that was taking 4 months to sell a house, so I'm convinced they worked. When someone is coming to look at the house:
1. Bake something that smells yummy or burn a cookie-dough smelling candle
2. Turn all the ceiling fans on low, has to do with creating a pleasant atmosphere
3. Open all blinds, curtains, make it really light and bright
4. Everything has to be totally spotless, but your house is always that way anyway :)

GOOD LUCK. I still wish you were moving in my direction.
